Hello Judges, you are welcome.
I am Chiedu Marvels, the Founder of Public Relations College, Ede, Osun State. I am particularly excited to present to you what I call Public Relations Education Plus. PREP in short form.
PREP is the service that we provide at Public Relations College to equip young Nigerians with relevant skills for success as Entrepreneurs in Public Relations practice and as highly skilled productive employees functioning in Public Relations roles within organized bodies.
From available data, apart from the effects of general shortages of job, a significant number of graduates from Nigerian Universities are either unemployable or underemployed due to lack of certain necessary skills, thereby increasing the consumer population without harnessing the individual capacities and productivity of these young Nigerians.
The official report from the National Bureau of Statistics for the 4th quarter of year 2017 showed that 7.9 million Nigerians aged 15-34 were unemployed. That is not just huge but also alarming.
YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT is a major problem in Nigeria and the rate IS HIGH and EVER-GROWING. I have met with, and heard of young Nigerians who are affected by this horrible situation. They are all over the places going about depressed with variant versions of the same story of woe. Hunger, poverty, crime, depression, suicide and other problems loom, the future doom is better imagined than experienced.
But there is hope for the Nigerian youth. I created PREP and I am offering it as one of the viable and enduring solutions that we can start using immediately, to address this mess.
Step by step, line upon line and precept upon precept, PREP will improve the dynamism of subscribers and they can easily fit into employment positions or seamlessly run their own businesses as independent entrepreneurs, by applying the key coherent principles that will scale-up their professional value to a minimum of 20% per year, over a lifetime.
With PREP, we can create more jobs and eradicate youth-unemployment, poverty, hunger, depression, and suicide.
My 10 years experience in training is a strong pivot that provides a gliding strength to the design and implementation of PREP. I project to sell PREP to a minimum of 40 undergraduate-students every year. This is realistic and achievable, with projected returns that will cover the business costs and create profits for sustainable operations and expansion.
